Coach Dane
Dane Head has been coaching hitters for over 30 years and brings a lifetime of passion and experience to the plate. At 55 years old, Dane still plays competitive softball himself—proving that the love of the game never fades and that learning never stops.
Known for his calm, encouraging style and deep knowledge of the game, Dane has helped lead numerous teams—and individual hitters—to championship victories, including state-level success.
As both a father and grandfather, Dane understands the importance of building trust, confidence, and joy in young athletes. He coaches female softball players of all ages, from beginners just learning the fundamentals at age 5 to elite high school players preparing for college competition. Dane’s coaching goes beyond mechanics—he builds confidence, sharpens focus, and helps players unlock their full potential at the plate.
Whether you're looking to improve swing technique, build power, or gain a competitive edge, Dane’s coaching is tailored to meet each athlete’s needs and goals. Dane’s lessons offer a supportive environment where players can grow, compete, and thrive.

Family Roots in the Game
Dane’s love for the game runs deep through his family. All of his children—Tayler, Danielle, Darian, Courtney, Catelyn, and Chris—played softball or baseball, and Dane was there for every swing, every win, and every long drive to tournaments. He coached them, mentored them, and taught them not just how to hit—but how to love the game.
From early morning practices to late-night drives where the kids could sleep in the back seat while he navigated the road, Dane’s commitment wasn’t just about coaching—it was about showing up. That same dedication and heart now guide his work with every player who steps into the cage with him.
Whether you’re just starting out or working to refine your college prep swing, Dane will meet you where you are—and help you hit your next level.
